Kogi Governor Proven He’s A Caring, Sensitive Leader – Hon. Ochada

A fomous chairmanship aspirant for Omala Local Government Area, Honourable Matthew Ochada has described Governor Yahaya Bello as a caring and sensitive leader, affirming that he has proved beyond doubts that Kogi people are his priority in this second term.

Ochada, an online media strategist, disclosed this during the week in an interview with journalists in Lokoja, Kogi State capital while baring his mind on the steps taken by the present administration to deepen the process of governance in the state.

Most exciting, according to him, is the regular payment of salaries to civil servants and pension, stressing that this is happening even in the face of shortfalls in federation allocations, and commended the efforts of the state government in proving its critics wrong.

HMO, as he is admiringly known, also lauded the proactive steps taken by the state government in addressing the COVID-19 pandemic, revealing that the state has not recorded any case of the scourge might not be far from the watertight measures put in place to forestall outbreak in the state. The timely payment of salaries and other interventions by government, he pointed out, has helped in alleviating the hardship residents of the state would have had to contend with in view of the lockdown occasioned by the global pandemic.

On his aspiration, the chairmanship hopeful said, inspired by the leadership philosophy of Governor Bello, his priority would be the people. “I will work to unlock the potentials of the area towards turning around the fortunes of the people”, he said.
