Kogi Guber: Ododo Support Organisation (OSO) Holds Maiden Directorates Meeting in Lokoja

As part of measures to mobilize eligible voters across the state for the Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming Gubernatorial election in Kogi State, Alhaji Ododo Ahmed Usman, one of the formidable and frontline support groups, the Ododo Support Organisation, OSO, on Thursday, the 25th May 2023, held its first Directors’ Forum Meeting in Lokoja, to strategize and harmonize ideas, concepts and blueprints for the electioneering campaign of its principal.

Speaking at the maiden meeting of the Director’s forum, the Director General of the organisation, Engr. A. S. Adaira, said that the forum meeting was called to basically commence in earnest, the official inauguration of all Directors of the Organisation, and to reveal one of the most formidable models aimed at making Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo to be elected as the 5th Executive Governor of Kogi State.

He said:
“We aim to effect a revolutionize campaign model to ensure we sell the candidacy of our Principal in all the nooks and crannies of the state regardless of any sentiment”.

In his presentation, he explains the genealogy of the meticulous campaign model that aimed at delivering over Two Hundred and Forty Thousand (240,495) votes for the APC candidate.

The forum which was cascaded into Eighteen (18) Directorates with corresponding Directors, Zonal Deputy Directors, Local Government, Ward and Zonal Ward Coordinators was successfully kicked off and has its appointed Director inaugurated to primarily galvanises supports for its principal and chart a way forward on the realization of the Kogi 5th project.

The session was filled with robust engagement, and clearly defined strategic plans which were reeled out by the Director General to the newly inaugurated Directors elicited commendation by all as timely and well-conceived.

In his contribution, the Secretary General of the Organisation, Comrade Babatunde Fanwo John commended the Conveners and the Director General of the Organisation for their support which have resulted in the eventual realisation of its first meeting and described the attendance as highly commendable.

The meeting has in attendance the Co-Convener of the Organisation, Hon. Nazir Yusuf Ochi, Director General, Bureau of Lands and Urban Development. In his remark, he charged members of the forum to be proactive at all-time whilst urging them to be pragmatic in excellent service delivery as the task ahead of them is enormous. Hon. Ochi urges every member of the Directors cadre to look out and lead his/her results-driven directorates, fortified to making significant improvements to the course of this pursuit.

He advised the organisation should ensure to work closely with the existing party structure in the implementation of the model, as the structure offers a perfect inroad to the nooks and crannies of the state’s constituencies.

Also speaking at the meeting, the Co-Convener, Mr Audu Ilias emphasizes on the need to form a unified front towards projecting the candidacy of Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo.

In quote: “The hallmark of the organisation stems from a meticulous and strategic model of actions and activities that will leave no individual/group in Kogi State out in canvassing for votes to actualize the ambition of our Principal.

The organisation prides itself to have the entire Kogi State within its reach – in adequate data and reliable penetration resources”, Mr Ilias posited.

In his closing remark – on behalf of the newly inaugurated Directors, Hon. Abdul Umar, Director of Contacts & Mobilisation expresses appreciation to the Patrons and Convener of the Organisation for finding them worthy to serve as Directors. He assures the Organisation of their readiness to make the election of Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo as seamless like no other in the history of the state.

The highlight of the meeting was the presentation of Appointment Letters and group photograph.
