Kogi Guber: Okehi APC Stakeholder cautions ADC Candidate, Abejide, against lying.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Okehi Local Government Area of Kogi state has accused the governorship candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and Member Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Leke Abejide, of misleading the public by dishing out blatant lies on the personality of its candidate, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo.
In a statement signed by one of the APC stalwarts from Okehi local government area, Hon. Mouktar Atimah, and made available to newsmen in Lokoja on Tuesday, debunked the rumours being peddled by ADC Candidate that Ahmed Usman Ododo is a Cousin brother of the incumbent Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello as very misleading.
“It is not surprising that a desperate, but a losing candidate of ADC, who claimed to be an Elder, Leke Abejide, has been dishing out a misleading information about His Excellency Governor Yahaya Bello and the APC candidate, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo that they are related.
” To set the record straight, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello is from Agassa/Ahache ward of Okene 1 state constituency, while Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo is from Uporo/Odenku ward in okene 2 state constituency of Kogi state.” Atimah explained.
According to the statement, the lies being peddled by the ADC Candidate is not only emanating from ignorance, but a deliberate fabrication, with the intention to seek undue attention in view of his very weak presence outside his federal constituency.
“The lies he is peddling about so as to seek attention with aim of getting votes will definitely work against him and the ADC in forthcoming election as the people of the state will not make the mistake of voting a Governor that will be telling lies.
His anchor man from Okehi LGA, the former chairman of Okehi LGA who happened to have benefitted from Governor Yahaya Bello led administration by nominating him as member of a Federal board (College of Education in plateau state), has long been rejected by the people of the local government” , Hon. Atimah stated.
The politician therefore advised Honourable Leke Abejide not to allow some misguided elements to deceive him and others who might have swallowed the falsehood hookline and sinker.
He said despite the unfounded and deliberate lies, Ododo Usman Ahmed will win the next gubernatorial election.
“What matters is the good policy, the good ideas, the drive and the determination of Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo to make our dear state better than it has ever been” the statement read..
