It is no longer news as no fewer than 300 persons from Ahoko community of Zone C area of Kogi local government of the State, have openly and emphatically declared their unalloyed and unflinching support for the All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship candidate, Ahmed Usman Ododo.

A former member of House of representatives for Lokoja/Kogi federal constituency, Hon Abdulkarim Isah Wambai and Kogi State governorship candidate of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, Mr. Muritala Yakubu Ajaka are facing outright rejection in his stronghold Ahoko unit, Kogi Local Government Area of the State.

An elder statesman from the area, Malam Sule Ahoko blamed the former federal lawmaker, Hon Abdulkarim Isah Wambai for taken such a dangerous political route, describing his action as wrong political calculation ever embarked in history of Kogi LG.

“it is a shamed and disrespectful for us a people for a successful businessman like Wambai who have benefitted so much
from APC could cheaply thrown his self to the gutter by gambling future of his people in the name of politics.” he lamented.

An elderly man Mall Sule Ahoko commended GYB for providing security and other dividends of democracy.

Malam Sule expressed gratitude to Governor Yahaya Bello for improving on socio-economic wellbeing of Kogi LG people.

Elder Sule was speaking while playing host to some politicians and leaders of Kogi LG who recently visited the area in an effort to canvass support for APC and it’s governorship candidate.

Our source revealed that the Elder Statesman dropped the hint in presence of the Executive Chairman of Kogi LG, Hon Dauda Aliyu, APC LG Chairman, SSA’s and other party’s stalwarts.

According to him, Wambai has made a wrong political calculation that would take years to healed. His action clearly shows that he can’t be trusted with leadership.

Abubakar Bashir Gegu who led some government appointees to the area, appreciated them for having faith in APC and Governor Yahaya Bello led administration.

Mr. Gegu noted that the Egbiras are not known for betraying trust and confidence even as he assured them of government continued patronage.

Speaking further, the Commissioner said no amount of lies, deceit and propaganda from those who have failed while in leadership positions can stop the ways of God Almighty.

Engineer Bashir Gegu explained that APC in Kogi is now more organized and stable with current leadership composition, unlike when the fold was still housing some confusionists who knows nothing except fighting for leadership and political office.

Gegu described SDP in Kogi LG as dead horse struggling to rise even when there was no option.
