The Congress of Kogi Patriot (KCP) has endorsed the aspiration of Asiwaju Asiru Idris, present Commissioner for Finance Budget and Planning as the next Governor of Kogi State.
In a chat with our correspondence, the National president of (CKP), Doctor Zik Olatunde described the commissioner as the most suitable aspirant for the exalted office.
He said the antecedent of Commissioner in the last seven years stands him out as someone who had understudied leadership under the present Governor and has also recorded landmark achievements.
One of the remarkable achievement according to him was the placement of Kogi among the oil producing state of the federation.
He also commended the ingenuity of the finance commissioner in the area of internal revenue generation which has lifted the status of the state.
Doctor Olatunde described Asiwaju Idris as a calm, easy going and unassuming professional banker who has brought his wealth of experience to bear under the new direction government of Alhaji Yahaya Bello.
He therefore appealed to the generally of the people of Kogi State and particularly the APC delegates to give massive support to the aspiration of the commissioner.
He described Asiwaju Idris as the only one among committee of aspirants that can sustain and consolidate on the present achievement of Governor Yahaya Bello.
