Kogi LG Communities Congratulate Bello Over Election Victory, Advises On Sustenance, Maintenance of Political Arrangement

Communities across the three geopolitical zones of Kogi local government area of Kogi state have congratulated the Kogi state governor, Alhaji Yahaya bello and his Deputy Chief Edward Onoja over their landslide victory at the November 16 governorship election.

A statement signed by the spokes person of communities, the Supervisory Councilor for Education and Social Services, Kogi local government Council, Hon. Adamu Shuaibu Aduho, said that the entire people of the area were overwhelmed by the outcome of the election which was their exact expectations.

While commending the governor over his laudable and lives touching achievements in Kogi local government area, the communities assured of their unflinching support and loyalty to the new direction government led by the amiable Yahaya Bello.

“The emancipation programme of the administration has impacted positively on the social, economic and political life of the area and we therefore urge you to continue the good work for our people”, the community explained.

The Community also urged the governor to retain and maintain the existing political structure and acceptable arrangement in Kogi local government area as any deviation from the status quo may cause confusion.

“For now the status-quo in the political arrangements, especially for elective positions be maintained so as to sustain the winning trick known for the area.” The statement maintained.

According to the arrangement, the local government has been zoned into three geo-political areas.

Zone A comprises of Girinya, Odaki and Ukwo.

In zone B there are Koton-Karfe South East, Irenedu, Akpasu and Tawari, Zone C has Chikara north, Chikara south, Gegu South and Gegu North respectively.
