Global Times Nigeria reports that Stakeholders in the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Okehi Local Government had during a meeting held today Saturday, 26th September 2020 endorsed the Chairmanship aspiration of Hon. Abdulraheem Ohiare Ozovehe, the immediate past Administrator and SSA on Security matters to the Governor of Kogi State.
According to the reports, the meeting which was presided by the leader of the party and Commissioner for local Government and chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Barr. Abdulsalam Ozigi Deedat.
The commissioner while addressing the stakeholders emphasized the need for unity of purpose among the party faithful.
He said the essence of the meeting was to pick the party flag bearer base on consensus as advised by the Governor and leader of the party in the State.
He also said the party had unanimously the candidature of the former SSA Security, Hon Abdulraheem Ohiare Ozovehe, as sole candidate of the party in the upcoming local Government election in the state.
Other party leaders who attended the meeting all spoke in support of the former SSA security.
A press statement signed and issue by Mr. King Habib, Media Aide to the former council boss said Goodwill messages and prayers offered for His Excellency Alh Yahaya Adoza Bello, Hon Abdulsalam Ozigi Deedat and incoming chairman of Okehi local Government.
The meeting had in attendance party executives, leaders, youths and women from various wards that make up Okehi LGA.
