As the processes for April 2nd Kogi state Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists, (NUJ), elections commenced, the incumbent Chairman Comrade Mommoh Jimoh Adeiza, popularly known as MJ has indicated his interest to seek re election and has therefore picked nomination form.
Adeiza accompanied by supporters stormed the headquarters of the Graphic Newspapers venue of the collection of the nomination forms as early as 9.30 am.
Others who equally obtained nomination forms, include, Abubakar Suleiman for Vice Chairmanship position, Alhaji Saidu Haruna for Secretary, and Adebayo Aka for the post of Treasurer.
Others include Noah Peter for Auditor and Samuel Atuluku for Financial Secretary.
Responding to questions from Journalists, Comrade Adeiza said that his decision to seek for re election was hinged on his desire to struggle for the progress and unity of Journalists in the state.
He stated that if re elected, the cordial relationship with the government will be improved, promising that the Kogi people will benefit from a robust journalism they are entitled.
