Kogi Poly Rector Congratulates Ata Igala Kingdom On his Birthday Anniversary
On behalf of the Governing Council, Academic Board, Management, staff and students of Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja, I heartily felicitate His Royal Majesty, Dr. Matthew Alaji Opaluwa Oguche Akpa II, Ata of Igala kingdom, President, Kogi State Council of Chiefs and President, Igala Area Traditional Council on the occasion of his birthday.
Your Royal Majesty Sir, today affords me yet another opportunity to celebrate and appreciate the qualitative leadership essence that you are made up of and have displayed as the custodian of our cultural heritage, tradition and custom.
Your sincerity, truthfulness and honesty radiate effortlessly in every affairs of yours. You also espouse progressive accommodation of cultural value of the people. You exemplify the essence of transformation of the Igala Kingdom in particular and of Kogi State in general.
I was in awe the day you conferred on me the chieftaincy title of ‘Omaoja’Ata’ the level of humanity, patience and love you showed. I was not only deeply astounded and utterly impressed by your humility, but was also touched by your humane display of wisdom as an unmatched reservoir of our cultural heritage and history.
Your Royal Majesty, as you celebrate your birthday anniversary, may God in His infinite mercy continue to protect you from shame of any kind. May He never leave you without His divine guidance.
