Kogi Speaker Commends President Buhari For The Award Of Road Contracts In The State.

Member representing Kabba/Bunu state constituency and Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Prince Matthew Kolawole has commended President Mohammadu Buhari and the Honourable Minister for Works and Housing, Barrister Babatunde Raji Fashola, for matching their words with action on the approval of the award of constract for the rehabilitation of Aiyetoro – Iluke – Kiri – Kupa Eggan Road by Federal Executive Council (FEC)

He said the APC led federal government has proven that it has interest of the people of affected area at heart, stressing that the road project when completed will go a long way to enhance economic activities and ameliorate the suffering of the people and commuters plying the route

While regreting the nightmarish condition of the road for ages owing to its deplorable state, commended the efforts of the federal legislators from Kogi State with specific reference to Senator Smart Adeyemi, whose commitment to the well-being of the senatorial district is yielding positive results.

Speaker Kolawole also acknowledged the giant efforts of Governor Yahaya Bello who mounted immense pressure on the relevant authority that has manifested in the award of the projects, calling on Minister Fashola not to lose sight of the Kabba – Egbe – Ilorin road, Kabba – Ipele – Lagos road which has long been abandoned by successive administrations.

The Speaker also appreciated the efforts of the Honourable Minister of State FCT, Hajia Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu who is representing Kogi State at the Federal Executive Council where decision in favour of the project was taken, pointing out that her presence in the Council is a plus for the state.

He charged the people to continue to cooperate and support the current APC administrations at all levels to attract more tangible projects to the state and constituency.
