“KOGI STATE NOW CONSIDERED DOMESTIC EXPORTS ZONE FOR THE ENTIRE NORTH CENTRAL” – Bisimilahi Ibrahim Tajudeen

Kogi State have been described as a domestic export zone for the entire North Central States of the Country.

The Managing Director of Harris Logistics So Limited, Hon. Bismillahi Ibrahim Tajudeen (BIT), who stated this in Lokoja, Kogi State Capital said the sitting of the Domestic Export Warehouse (Dry Port) in Lokoja will no doubt, create employment opportunity to the teeming youths and others who will pick interest in export trades.

BIT, who contested the Kogi West Senotorial seat in 2018 as a frontline aspirant, commended the efforts of the Federal Government and other agencies at ensuring the realization of the project in the Confluence State.

“I wish to commend the efforts of President Muhammodu Buhari, the Minister for Trade and Investment, Mr. Niyi Adebayo and the CEO of Nigerian Exports Promotion Council, Mr. Segun Awolowo for such a great initiative targeted at diversifying our economy from the regular crude oil to exports of other commodities

“This will no doubt create job opportunities for our teaming youths and the multiplier effect can only be better imagined as Lokoja will undeniably serve as a mini Dry port for exports

“Also, I want to thank His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Bello, for his prompt action at at making the establishment of this Warehouse a reality

“When I broke the good news to him, in his benevolence and statesmanship, he quickly sent a high powered delegation led by our own SSG, Dr. Folasade Arike Ayoade on a “Thank You” visit to the NEPC in Abuja and also sent the Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Hon. Gabriel Yunusa Olofun to receive the delegation from Abuja at the site, I say big kudos for his pragmatic efforts

“I will also thank my Visionary Chairman Mr. Femi Muhammed for having a vision to site a warehouse in Kogi State which is one of the pre-requirements before any state can be considered. Without the warehouse there wouldn’t have been any room for the initial application, not to talk of facilitation

“I wish to thank the Management of the Export Expansion Facility Program (EEFP) for their transparent manner in the selection process that led to the consideration of our company- HARRIS LOGISTICS SERVICES LTD to be amongst the best 5 out of over 300 applications received Nationwide

“We also wish to thank the representatives of the Nigeria Customs Service – Deputy Comptroller, Jamgbadi M.E, the Nigeria Exports Promotion Council – Mr. Afolabi Bello, Nigeria Port Authority – Mrs. Funke Ilori, the Nigerian Agricultural Quarantine Service – Mr. Edwin Ignatus, the Nigeria Shippers Council and many other Federal Government Agencies that came for the facility inspection

He assured the public that the Company will provide qualitative and timely services to them, urging them to visit the Warehouse for all export services.
