Following the election of Honourable as the Senator to represent Kogi West district, Hon. Sunday Karimi, on Tuesday received his Certificate of Return from the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC in Abuja.

Hon Sunday Karimi who was the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), was on Feb. 26, declared winner of the Kogi West Senate Seat by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

Karimi polled 70,184 votes to defeat his closest rival, Tajudeen Yusuf of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who scored 51,964 votes.

Karimi told newsmen shortly after collecting his Certificate of Return from the national electoral body Independent National Electoral Commission, said he is determined to make Kogi West people proud providing quality representation.

The two terms member of House of Representatives, Yagba Federal Constituency, described the event as the beginning of a new dawn, saying his representation would usher in the much desired prosperity.

”Having taking stock of the needs of the people, I promise to build on past representation with a view to making a difference.

”My representation would be peoples’ centered with quality legislative representation of the good people of Kogi West.

‘He thank the people of Kogi West for finding him worthy to serve, and promised to do all within his legislative representation to improve on the well-being of the people.

The Senator-elect who stressed that he was not taking the opportunity for granted, thanked God for the victory delivered by the good people of Kogi West, promised not to let them down.

He therefore thanked the APC supporters in the district, assuring them that he would be a worthy representative that would justify the confidence reposed in him.
