Eminent personalities including politicians within Lafia area of the State was today conferred with award of excellence following their various contributions and leadership styles exhibited for the benefits of their people over the years.
One of the notable recipients and Deputy Chief Whip of Nasarawa State House of Assembly Barr. Muhammed Ibrahim Alkali (APC Lafia North) has assured of hid readiness and commitment towards touching lives of his people positively, operate an all inclusive governance and enhance support for Governor Abdullahi Sule for the overall peace and progress of Lafia LG and Nasarawa State in general.
The lawmaker has also reaffirmed his commitment in initiating more programmes that would touch on the lives of the people of his constituency positively.
Hon Alkali gave the assurance shortly after he and other personalities were presented with awards of excellence by Eggon APC Progressive Youth Forum Shabu and its Environs in Lafia today.
Alkali, who is the Chairman, House Committee on Local Government and Chieftancy Affairs said that he would continue to provide the much needed dividends of democracy to his constituents in order to continue changing on their lives positively.
The Talban Arikya appreciated the forum for the awards, saying that it will encourage him and other beneficiaries to do more in service to humanity.
He called on Eggon youths, the people of his constituency and the state at large to continue to be law abiding,advocates of peace, unity and development as well as support Gov. Abdullahi Sule to succeed beyond 2023.
Others presented with the awards include, The Sangarin Shabu, HRH Alh. Mahmud Umar Bwallah, the former member of house of representative for Lafia/Obi Federal Constituency Hon. Dr. Joseph Haruna Kigbu (Galadima Raya Kassa Lafia), the immediate past Commissioner for Special Duties & Revenue Generation, Hon. Mohammed Bashir Aliyu (Walin Shabu) and the immediate past Executive Chairman of Lafia LGA who is also the APC Flag Bearer for the forthcoming Local Government Council election, Hon. Aminu Muazu Maifata.
Earlier, Mr Yohana Zaka, the Chairman of the forum said that the awards were presented to them based on their track records and contributions to the development of the constituency, the state and the country at large.
Zaka said that the awards were also based on their leadership qualities.
The chairman added that the forum presented award to Sangarin Shabu based on the royal father’s enormous contributions in peace building and conflict resolution in his domain.
He urged them to sustain the good work they are doing for their people and humanity in general.
