As the official date fixed into local government election by Kogi State Independent Election Commission (KOSIEC), Youths from Zone C axis seem set to have their right of way in the grassroots administration as a group known as Zone C Youth Alliance (ZYA) headed by a former Special Adviser on Political Matters and a renown stakeholder of Kogi LG project from Chikara South, Hon. Isah Muhammed Omoko, on Friday said their group has unanimously endorsed the aspiration of a legal icon and former Administrator of Kogi LG, Barr. Muhammed Tanko Musa Osuku for the Chairmanship of Koton-Karfe, Kogi LG.
Leader of the group, Hon. Isah Muhammed Omoko said in a statement made available to our reporter that their forum has chosen to back the candidacy of Osuku born legal luminary because of his antecedent, track record of performance, ability, capacity and capability.
According to the statement, Barr. Tanko’s achievements superceded other appointees whereby he ensure what is due to people is given to them at appropriate time.
They also said, the legal icon used his position and connection to attract meaningful development to the area, which they said peace, unity, infrastructure, empowerment, education, security and human capital development were among other things he brought during his reign.
Therefore, “I am calling on other well meaning people of Kogi LG to join his quest to build a new Kogi LG where rule of law, respect to our elders, unity of purpose, development will be his top priority”.
“Barr. Tanko is competent and experienced to be executive Chairman having been tested, trusted and proven”.
