Lokoja Based Pharmacist, Okpala Ifeoma Call On Governments At All Levels to Accommodate Challenges Not Captured In Their Policies
Governments at all levels have been urged to continue to expand their scope by sponsoring health intervention programs that will accommodate those challenges not captured in their current policies in the health sector.
A pharmacist working with Steve more Pharmacy and Stores Limited Lokoja, Pharmacist Okpala Ifeoma made the appealed during the health intervention outreach initiated by the pharmaceutical store to assist the people of Kogi State.
Pharmacist Ifeoma said the health intervention programme would cater for different challenges including; hypertension , diabetes, and others requiring expectorants, antivirals, analgesic, and routine drugs.
She said the interventions are periodically scheduled to assist the people of the state and appealed to those at the helms of affairs to broaden their scope in the health sector.
She disclosed that over a hundred people would be attended to and warned the public against self-medication and abuse of drugs.
In a remark, one of the beneficiaries of the program, Mrs. Hassanat Idowu, thanked the management of the drug store for initiating the program, emphasizing that the initiative has assisted her in managing both hypertension and diabetics.
