Lokoja/Kogi 2023: Zone B Group Backs Barr. Tanko To Contest For HoRs Seat

Stakeholders from Zone B area of Kogi local area of the State headed by the Chairman of the governing All Progressives Congress, APC, has expressed their full support for the candidature of the All Progressives Congress, APC, House of Representatives seat for the Lokoja/Kogi federal constituency.

Hon. Abubakar Onah, Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the area spoke on Wednesday when he led other stakeholders to pay a congratulatory visit to the House of Representatives hopeful, Hon. Chief (Barr.) Muhammed Tanko Musa Osuku in Lokoja, Kogi State capital.

According to him, the House of Representatives hopeful hailed from Zone B area of the council and the entire Kogi LG need to present a united front to show that they are indeed interested in achieving total victory for the party.

“We the Zone B are united in our focus to rescue Lokoja/Kogi federal constituency. My colleagues and our leaders, have come to confer and have a heart-deep discussion on the way forward for this project and the APC so that we can take power in 2023,” he said.

“Barr. Tanko is a leader that we all respect so much. He is a leader that also respect our leaders, he has large followers across Lokoja/Kogi axis.”

“We visited him and had our internal discussion with him. We are looking at taken the consensus to victory . Barr. Tanko will unite the Lokoja/Kogi federal constituency just as he said he has the capacity to represent area”.

“I think he deserve our support and deserve the support of Lokoja/Kogi federal constituency, and I think he is capable and able to rescue this two LGAs.”

Mr. Abdulrahman Original, a LG Executive member expressed confidence that the party and Barr. Muhammed Tanko Musa will emerged victorious at the polls.

He stressed the need for Zone B and entire Kogi LG to pay a thank you visit to the Governor Yahaya Bello, for his massive support and special interest he had for the people of Kogi LG.

“I want to on behalf of Zone B people appreciated Hon. Engineer Muhammed Abubakar Bashir Gegu, the Kogi State Commissioner for Solids Minerals and Naturals Resources for his foresight and wisdom in ensuring that the interest of Kogi LG prevailed at all time.”

Hon. Rilwan Bala Ette, the Senior Special Assistant, SSA, on Special Duties to Governor Yahaya Bello who contributed through a phone call congratulated every Sons and Daughters of Zone B for honour done them by their crown political leader of the State and future President of this great Nation.

Hon. Muhammed Isah SK Akpaku and Comr. Musa Usman who area both LG APC executives assured the aspirant and APC of their readiness to mobilize men and women of goodwill ahead of APC primaries and subsequent general election.

Women who spoke at the meeting include Hajiya Maryam, a renowned women mobilizer in the area and LG APC women leader commended the stakeholders for their unity and sincerity of purpose to front the movement to success.

The women politician enjoined the women of Zone B to come out en-mass to unveiled their support in the coming election.

They also pledged traversed the entire LG to canvass support from women folks in support of Barr. Muhammed Tanko Musa Osuku and APC.

On his part, Barr. Muhammed Tanko Musa Osuku, the hopeful House of Representatives consensus candidate, who commended the good people of Zone and APC stakeholders their stance for the party’s victory in the forthcoming election.

Barr. Tanko thanked Alhaji Yahaya Bello, Executive Governor of Kogi State for working towards reaching a consensus with a particular reference to a mandate given to him, saying he won’t let the Governor down.

While solicited for the support all, Barr. Tanko equally extended his utmost appreciation to Engineer Muhammed Abubakar Bashir Gegu, the State Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources for his deep commitment for Kogi LG project.

“We have come to discuss with ourselves, a key stakeholder of the party. First, we thanked his excellency on the mandate of house of representatives seat for Lokoja/Kogi federal constituency. It’s a reflection of the confidence Governor Bello have in him, and the people of Kogi LG,” he said.

“The people of Zone B, the place where I came from have already spoken on their choice of a consensus. And I think that is the message across the two LGAs. We are looking forward to, and we too must get our act together.”

“It’s not just those of us in the Kogi Lag; we are also talking to other aspirants so that the party can be united. We are leaving here more determined and encouraged for us to go back and ensure that we have a consensus arrangement that will make the party strong.”

The meeting had in attendance serving councilors, Kogi LG Secretary, supervisory councilors, former and serving party structures from Zone B area of Kogi LG.
