Maigari of Lokoja passes on, Engr. Bashir Gegu Commiserates with Kogi Govt., Traditional council.
The Maigari of Lokoja in Kogi State, His Royal Highness Alhaji. Dr. Muhammadu Kabir Maikarfi III, passed on.
The Kogi State Commissioner for Solid Minerals and Natural Resources, Engr. Muhammed Abubakar Bashir Gegu has condoled with Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello over the demised of Maigari of Lokoja, Alhaji. Dr. Muhammadu Kabir Maikarfi III.

The Commissioner in a condolence message issued by Muh’d Jamiu, Media Aide to the Commissioner and made available to Global Times Nigeria say “It is with great sorrow that I received the sad news of the passing away of our beloved father, grandfather and revered traditional ruler, the Maigari of Lokoja and Chairman of the Lokoja Traditional Council of Chiefs, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Dr Muhammadu Kabir Mairkarfi III, who died yesterday at the age of 80.”
Engr. Bashir Gegu has also specifically condoled with Kogi State Traditional council of chiefs on passage of Maigari Lokoja.
“My heartfelt condolences to my Boss His Excellency Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello, the Lokoja Traditional Council, the state at large and the family of our beloved traditional ruler.”
The statement further described late Maigari as a preacher of peace who have succeeded in laying solid foundation for the peaceful coexistence among various ethnic nationality in his domain.

“His wisdom and integrity has been invaluable in advancing the growth and progress of our dear state. Over years I have been beneficiary of his guidance and fatherly advice, the passing of this iconic leader is a profound personal loss indeed.
He prayed to Allah to grant him Aljannah Firdausi and gives the family the fortitude to bear the irredeemable loss.
Global Times Nigeria revealed that Maigari Muhammadu Kabir Maikarfi III died on Wednesday after a brief illness in Abuja.
