……As Tiv, Gbagyi communities denounces support for PDP, NNPP, others ahead of weekend election.

As March 18 gubernatorial and state house of Assembly elections draw closer, the member representing Toto/Gadabuke constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, and candidate of governing All Progressives Congress, APC, Hon Usman Labaran Shafa, has visited the traditional woman leader of Toto Chiefdom (Magajiya), Malama Fatima Abdullahi Atatus at his residence Iganki community, Toto electoral ward of Toto Local Area of Nasarawa State.

Hon Shafa who sought the support of the Magajiya and her entire women folks to rally support for APC in the slated March 18 election so that more development will be sustain.

He commended the Magajiya Toto for using her position to promote peace and unity in the chiefdom, even as he said her prayer and blessing has gone along away in guiding and providing clue in his quest to provide leadership to the people of the constituency.

According to the lawmaker, the Ohinoyi Ogye (Toto) Stool has been elevated to first class status by the Nasarawa State Government under the able leadership of His Excellency, Engineer Abdullahi Sule, Executive Governor of Nasarawa State for ease of administration in the area.

He urged Magajiya Toto to used her position to mobilised women to come out en-masse to vote for APC in the weekend election, saying doing so will guarantee more development and consolidation on already achieved democratic dividends.

“I’m here with my team to congratulate you on the newly elevated Ohinoyi Ogye stool to first class status. I have no doubt in my mind that HRH. Alhaji Muhammed Umar Azaki will used his newly elevated status to attract more development, work for peace and unity in his chiefdom just as he is known for as evident of his 7 years on the throne of his forebears.”

Earlier, Malama Fatima Abdullahi, the Magajiya Toto chiefdom appreciated the lawmaker for his visit and described him a good man who has endless passion for development and love of his people.

She said Toto women will continued to aligned with those with full mindset of development not minding their religion and tribe just as the lawmaker has done credibly well in his last four years, praying God to grant him another four years of a tenure to enable him do more.

The lawmaker who was in company of former Executive Chairman of the council, Hon Mohammed Musa Ohinoyi (General), Vice Chairman Toto LGC, Hon Abubakar Haruna Kwanakis, councillor representing Toto ward, Hon Abdulaziz Ahmad (Sharp) DG Campaign who double as Supervisory councilor for works, housing and transport in the Toto LGC, Hon Usman Danlami Dantso (Garkuwa Toto), Toto LGC Cashier, Alhaji Muhammed Udman Shehu (Cashman) and host of women supporters toured some units in Toto district.

The campaign team also met prospective voters at Ugya where Gbagyi and Egbira turn out en-masse to received the lawmaker with assurance of returning him and the Governor come March 18 election.

The Gbagyis said the APC government provided them with some Social amenities such as potable water, but however requested the lawmaker to help install Solar street light just as he did in some streets in Toto and some communities.

The Gbagyis who were predominantly farmers said they now go to farm to do their job without fear of unknown as it was before where people were unjustly attacked by men of the underworld.

While at Iganki B, Hon Usman Labaran Shafa met with hundreds of women supporters along side youths and elders from the area before proceeding to other units within Toto town. The APC supporters commended the lawmaker for aiding more development through his vision and mission leading to upgrade of royal status of Ohinoyi Ogye to a first class, which they said the electorates will strive hard to ensure the Governor and himself returned for a second term as part of effort to appreciate APC led government for considering them worthy.

Also in Toto, Hon Muhammed Musa Ohinoyi (General) led APC campaign team headed by the lawmaker to his residence in Toto where they met with women group name Mata Siri, the women assured Hon. Usman Labaran Shafa and Abdullahi Sule of their resolved to massively vote for APC in the upcoming election.
