Matawallen Toto Condemns Abduction of 7 Residents Along Ugya-Umaisha Road

A traditional title holder, the Matawallen of Toto traditional Council, Barrister Shuaibu Labaran Magaji, has condemned the abduction of seven persons including a teenager by kidnapppers along Ugya-Umaisha Road in Toto Local Government Council of Nasarawa state.

Global Times Nigeria, learnt that gunmen, suspected to be kidnappers had on Tuesday evening at about 6:pm attacked a Golf vehicle conveying seven persons including a teenager who were returning from Ugya market back to Toto town and whisked them away into the bush at gunpoint.
Barrister Magaji, who is the federal government prosecutor in the office of the Minister of Justice And Attorney General, said he was shocked and saddened when he received the news of abduction of the seven innocent citizens by gunmnen.

He described the attack on the seven innocent citizens as senseless and barbaric , adding that such an attack was also on humanity.
He said despite efforts by the present admistration of Engineering Abdullahi Sule, in tackling insecurity especially banditry and Kidnappings across the state, some dare devils and elements of retrogression were bent in unleashing havoc on innocent citizens of the state.
The Matawallen of Toto, therefore, called on stakeholders to unite together irrespective of tribe, religion and ethnic affiliation to rally round in order to tame any form of crime and criminality in the area.
“And I believe as a stakeholder, we should look on how to improve the security, of our people by expanding the security architecture of the local government,” he said.
He further commended the tireless effort of the state governor, Engineer Abdullahi A. Sule, in tackling banditry and Kidnappings across the state, saying it was quite commendable the governor had always visit President Muhammadu Buhari, at the Also villa to brief him about security situation in Nasarawa state.
He, however, stressed on the need for entire residents of Toto town and its environs to be vigilant and report any suspicious movement of persons to security agencies in the area.

Barrister Magaji, also called on clerics, community leaders and other religions leaders to continue to pray for peace and stability of Toto town and its environs, even as he stressed on the need for residents to synergize with relevant security agents towards given useful information to them in order to tame any form of crimes and criminality in the area.
