May Day: Nasarawa Speaker salutes workers over productivity, understanding, assures of legislative support on improve welfare.

……… hails Gov. Sule on workers welfare, employment, prompt payment of salaries, pension and gratuity, others.

As Nigerian workers marks this year’s May Day otherwise called Workers Day celebration, Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, has identified with workers in the State and acknowledged their giant contributions in administration and governance in the state

He also described workers as engine room of the government.

A statement by Press Secretary to the Speaker, Jibrin Gwamna quotes the Speaker Balarabe Abdullahi as congratulating Nasarawa workers on the unique day, describing them as hardworking, understanding and patriotic citizens.

The statement said the State Number Three Citizen is happy with the State workers and assured them of full legislative support and partnership towards encouraging and supporting government to better their welfare at all times.

Speaker Balarabe Abdullahi also commended His Excellency, Gov. Abdullahi Sule on workers welfare, implementation of workers promotion, workshops, prompt payment of salaries, pension and gratuity for retirees and the ongoing employment of casual workers in the State among others.

The Speaker has acknowledged the support of workers to the government of the day just as he congratulated the new State NLC Chairman, Comrade Ismaila Yakubu Okoh and his executive members for their successful election and emergence.

He called for sustained and effective working relationship between the Labour Union and government for smooth administration in the state.

Abdullahi also urged workers to continue to work as a team and contribute positively to the development of the state.
