***** House Deputy Majority Leader Hon. Jatau led Assembly delegation to Akwa Ibom State for retreat.

Nasarawa State House of Assembly, has assured the executive arm of government of enhanced collaboration in order to improve on the general well being of the people of the state.

Hon Danladi Jatau, the Deputy Majority Leader and member representing Kokona West Constituency gave the assurance when he led the delegation of the 7th Assembly to a Two day Retreat for Legislators and Executives with the theme” Improving Nutrition Funding: The Role of Legislators and Executives” holding in Ibom Hotel and Gulf Resort Uyo, Akwa ibom State.

Hon Jatau said that the House leadership under Rt. Hon Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi would continue to partner Gov. Abdullahi Sule in order to promote peace, unity and speedy development in the state.

The Deputy Majority Leader appreciated the organizer of the event for the retreat, saying that it would enhance their skills for effective legislative and other activities.

” This retreat is timely and apt as there is the need for legislators to enhance synergy with their governors for speedy development to be achieved in the country.

” We in Nasarawa State House of Assembly has assured our Governor of continuous effective synergy to improve on the standard of living of our people

” As our Governor, His Excellency, Engineer Abdullahi Sule is being up and doing to ensure the development of the state.

” And the only way to achieve this development is for us the legislators to ensure enhance synergy and collaboration,” he said.

” As no state will experience speedy development if the executive and legislature are in logger heads,” he said.

Hon Jatau explained that Speaker Balarabe has provided and still providing all inclusive leadership in the House, adding that effective partnership with Gov. Sule will bring speedy development to communities across the state.

He assured of the House readiness to ensure proper budget allocation for the health sector especially on nutrition programs to achieve the set target.

The retreat was organized by Civil Society Scaling Up Nutrition in Nigeria (CS-SSUN) for Five States which are Nasarawa, Niger, Kaduna, Kano and Lagos and was declared open by Speaker, Niger State House of Assembly and will last between 10th to 11th July.

Some of the participants from the Nasarawa State include Permanent Secretary Ministry of Finance Mr. Emmanuel Alidzi, Ag Clerk of the State Assembly Ibrahim Musa, Dr Ibrahim Alhassan Director of Public Health, DAS of the State Assembly Hajiya Hadiza Musa Bako among others.
