Nasarawa Assembly Lauds Gov. Sule Over Construction Of Karu Mega Bus Terminal.

Nasarawa State House of Assembly Committee on Works has commended Gov. Abdullahi Sule for the construction of Mega Bus Terminals in Karu and local government area and Lafia, the state capital respectively.

The Chairman, House Committee on Works, Hon Abdul’aziz Suleiman Danladi (Sarkin Matasa Keffi) member representing Keffi East gave the commendation when he led other members on an oversight visit to the site of the ongoing construction of Karu mega bus terminal on Thursday.

The lawmaker said that the significance of the project cannot be overemphasized considering its benefit to the economic development of the state.

He added that the project when completed will go a long way in reducing road traffic congestion along Karu/ Mararaba axis as well as boost the revenue of the state.

In a related development, the committee visited the ongoing construction and reconstruction of buildings in Nasarawa Governor lodge, Asokoro, Abuja.

The Chairman appreciated the level and quality of the work, saying that the work if completed would give the state a good image before their visitors.

Earlier, the Commissioner for Works, Housing and Transport, Chief Philip Dada commended the committee’s efforts in carrying out their constitutional duties.

He said that the assembly action shows that there is a synergy between the Executive and the Legislature and prayed for its sustenance.

The commissioner restated the ministry’s commitment to continue to initiate good policies and programmes that would have direct bearing on the lives of the people of the state.
