Nasarawa assembly mourns passing on to glory of it’s two former members, Ayaga, Angbas.
The Nasarawa State House of Assembly have been thrown into mourning following the demised of it’s pioneer deputy speaker, Rt. Hon Bala Rabo Ayaga
Global Times Nigeria finding revealed that late Ayaga served as pioneer Deputy Speaker to the pioneer Speaker of the State Assembly late Rt. Hon. Musa Ateru Agyo in the First Assembly and was re-elected to served in same capacity in the Second Assembly headed by another speaker, Rt. Hon. Muhammed Ogoshi Onawo.
This was contained in a statement issued by Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Jibrin Gwamna said speaker described the demised of former Deputy Speaker as shocking and very painful.
Speaker Balarabe in a condolence message to the immediate family of the deceased, the State Assembly, State Association of Former Members, the people of Kokona LGA and the State at large, said the House will greatly miss his advice, praying God to forgive his shortcomings and receive his soul into paradise.
According to the statement, Speaker Balarabe described death as a necessary end to every mortal which most occured when ever destiny come calling.
Speaker Balarabe Abdullahi is elected for the third term under the platform of All Progressives Congress, APC and representing the good people of Umaisha/Ugya constituency, called on all especially the family, friends and associates to see his demise as an act of God and prayed God to console the entire family.
Late Rt. Hon. Bala Rabo Ayaga was elected into the first Nasarawa State House of Assembly to represent the people of Kokona West on the platform of the Peoples Democratic party, PDP, and was elected the pioneer Deputy Speaker when the First Assembly was inaugurated on 6th June, 1999 and he served under the first Speaker late Rt. Hon. Musa Ateru Agyo between 1999 to 2003.
At the inauguration of the Second Assembly on 6th June, 2003 when Rt. Hon. Muhammad Ogoshi Onawo was elected the second Speaker of the House, Rt. Hon. Bala Rabo Ayaga was re- elected for the second term as the Deputy Speaker and served between 2003 to 2007.
Rt. Hon. Bala Rabo Ayaga died on Tuesday 17th, October, 2023 as a result of brief illness in his country home Agwada development area in kokona LGA of the State.
Similarly, the Speaker Nasarawa State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi has condoled with the State Association of Former Hon Members over the death of Hon. Stephen Angbas who represented Lafia North at the then Plateau State House of Assembly who also died on Tuesday 17th October, 2023 praying God to forgive his shortcomings and bless his soul.
