The Nasarawa State House of Assembly, has passed into law A Bill for a Law to Authorize the Issue Out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund of The State ( 2022 Amended Appropriation) of the sum of N110, 849, 945, 879.49 only for the Services of Nasarawa State Government to Complement for the Period Commencing from 1st January, 2022 and Ending 31st, December, 2022.

Rt. Hon Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, the Speaker of the House announced the passage of the bill into law after Hon Tanko Tunga, the Majority Leader of the House moved a motion for the passage of the bill into law which was seconded by Hon Mohammed Ibrahim Alkali, the Deputy Chief Whip of the House during the House proceedings today in Lafia.

The Speaker said that N8,367, 625,997.5k only is the total adjustment within the 2022 budget.

“Recurrent Expenditure- the below amount were added to these sub-head

” Personnel cost- N717, 707,382.12 and other recurrent cost-N7, 649, 918, 614.95 total N8, 367,625,996.24

” Capital Expenditure- N8, 367,625,996.24 were deducted and transfer to the recurrent expenditure

” The total size of the recurrent expenditure after adjustment stand at N80, 288, 638, 455.50

” Whereas the total size of the capital expenditure stands at N30, 561, 316, 423.87.

” The total budget size for 2022 before and after adjustment remains as passed by this Honourable House,

” A Bill for a Law to Authorize the Issue Out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund of The State ( 2022 Amended Appropriation) of the sum of N110, 849, 945, 879.49 only for the Services of Nasarawa State Government to Complement for the Period Commencing from 1st January, 2022 and Ending 31st, December, 2022 is read for third term and passed into law,” he said.

The Speaker appreciated the committee and other members of the House for their commitment in ensuring the speedy passage of the bill into law.

” Let me use this opportunity to once again thank you all for your commitment, particularly the House Committee on Finance and Appropriation in ensuring the passage of the bill and I urge all of us to sustain that spirit of hard work and commitment.

” I sincerely thank you all,” he added.

The Speaker has directed the Clerk to the House to produce a clean copy of the bill for Gov. Sule’s assent.

It would be reported that Gov. Abdullahi Sule has sent the 2022 amended Appropriation Bill to the House for their consideration and approval.
