The Nasarawa State House of Assembly has passed three Executive bills into first readings during the House proceedings today in Lafia, the State Capital.

Rt. Hon Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, the Speaker of the House announced the passage of the bills into first readings during the House proceedings after the Leader of the House Hon. Umar Tanko Tunga moved a motion to that effect which was seconded by the Minority Leader Hon Abel Yakubu Bala.

The three bills are- A Bill for a Law to Provide for the Supply and Sanitation of Water in Nasarawa State and other Matters Connected Therewith.

A Bill for a Law to Establish the Nasarawa State Erosion and Watershed Management Agency ( NASEWMA) and other Matters Connected Therewith.

A Bill for a Law to Repeal the Nasarawa State Bureau of Statistics Law No.84 of 2012 and Re-Enact Same 2022 and Other Matters Related Thereto.

” I slate August 10, 2022, for the second reading of A Bill for a Law to Provide for the Supply and Sanitation of Water in Nasarawa State and other Matters Connected Therewith

” I slate August 15, 2022, for the second reading of A Bill for a Law to Establish the Nasarawa State Erosion and Watershed Management Agency ( NASEWMA) and other Matters Connected Therewith

” I slate August 17, 2022, for the second reading of Aa bill for a Law to Repeal the Nasarawa State Bureau of Statistics Law No.84 of 2012 and Re-Enact Same 2022 and Other Matters Related Thereto,” he said.

Earlier, Hon Tanko Tunga, the Majority Leader of the House moved a motion for the bills to scale first readings.

Hon Abel Yakubu Bala, the Minority Leader of the House seconded the motion, and the House unanimously passed the Three bills into first reading.
