Nasarawa Assembly receives NASIDARC bill report, slate next week for deliberation.

The Nasarawa State House of Assembly has slated next week Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2022 for deliberation on the report of the House Standing Committee on Health on a Bill for a Law to Establish the Nasarawa State Infectious Disease and Research Center ( NASIDARC) and Other Matters Connected Therein.

Rt. Hon Ibrahm Balarabe Abdullahi, the Speaker of the House announced this after Hon Usman Labaran Shafa, Chairman, House Committee on Health presented the NASIDARC bill report during the House proceedings in Lafia today.

The Speaker said that the bill if passed into law would improve on the health status of the people of the state.

He said that the agency was to detect, prevent and control diseases in the state.

The Speaker also said that NASIDARC would create job opportunity to the people of the State.

Earlier, Hon Usman Labaran Shafa, the Chairman, House Committee on Health, while presenting the report commended the state government for establishing NASIDARC considering the significance roles it will play in addressing the health need of the people.
