Nasarawa Assembly Resolved Obi LGC Executive/Legislative crisis.
The crises rocking the Obi local government legislative arm has been resolved with a call to synergize with executive arm to provide quality leadership to the rural dwellers.
Chairman, Nasarawa State House of Assembly Committee on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon Mohammed Ibrahim Alkali made the call in a meeting with members of the legislative arm of the council today in Lafia.

Alkali called on the legislative arm to embrace team work in order to move the council forward.
“We weigh in to the lingering crises of the legislative arm of Obi LGA to allow them discharge their constitutional responsibility effectively.
“The council can only move forward and experience development if the councillors work together as well as bring positive and collective ideas that will develop obi LGA.
“But if you are in crisis, I tell you there will be no speedy development in Obi LG.
“So I call on you to synergize with each other to move Obi LGA forward,” he said.
It would be reported that during the meeting the suspension of councilor representing Obi electoral ward was lifted and his entitlements and privileges were restored as revealed by the Speaker, Obi Local Government Legislative Arm, Abdulmalik Mailafia.
It would also be reported that before now, the councilor, representing Obi electoral ward, Hon Aliyu Adamu has petitioned the Speaker of Obi Local Government Legislative Arm, Hon Abdulmalik Mailafia before the State House of Assembly for circumventing him in all legislative matters that led to his suspension with the chairman of the local government fingered in the crises.
