Nasarawa state House of Assembly committee on Lands and Survey has called for effective partnership and understanding among government ministries and agencies especially affiliate agencies in ministries for optimal productivities.
Similarly, the House has advocated for more collaboration, understanding and partnership between various committees of the house and government ministries for peace, progress and effective service delivery in the state government.
The Chairman Nasarawa State House of Assembly Committee on Lands and survey Hon David Maiyaki (APC karu/Gitata) made the call, when the state ministry for lands,NAGIS and Boundary commission appeared before the committee for their 2021 budget assessment in Lafia today.
Hon maiyaki who emphasized that his committee will countinue to give the ministry and its affiliate agencies all the needed support to succeed lamented on clash of interest and duplication of duties among affiliate agencies of the Lands Ministry and called for urgent steps to address the situation for optimal results.
He called on the ministries of government with affiliate bodies in the state to organise workshops for their staff and spell out areas of jurisdictions for peace and smooth service delivery.

“the main aims and objectives of this oversight or budget assessment is to identify where there are issues and make corrections on how to move forward”.
The state commissioner for lands prof. Salihu Alizaga who enumerated the success story and challenges of the ministry to the committee thanked the members for their support so far and called for its sustenance.
The committee also hosted the management of the state Boundary commission led by its commissioner Alh.Ibrahim Aliyu Keana who revealed that by 7th, September,2021 the replacement and adjustment of Boundary pillars between F C T and Nasarawa State will commence just as 30th, and 31th of August,2021 are fixed for stakeholders meeting that will commence the process of official boundary demarcation between Nasarawa and Benue States.
The committee also played host to the management of NAGIS led by its DG Sonny Agassi where the committee expressed dissatisfaction with the team for not putting their house in order and directed them to go back and do the needful by putting their budget documents in order to come back in a later date.
