Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule has been conferred with the Traditional tittle of Iyaihiden Andok Ashe, meaning the Lover and defender of koro people or Maga Yakin Koro, by the second class traditional ruler of Kube chiefdom, Panda development area, Christopher Jatau.
The tittle was conferred to the Governor during the meeting with stakeholders, youths and women of Koro community ahead of the general election.
Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, while receiving the title urged Koro Community in Panda Development Area to ensure sustainable peaceful coexistence among the diverse ethics nationalities in the area.
The Governor, who was represented by Attorney general and commissioner for justice professor Abdullkarim Kana, applauded Koro community and the entire Panda development area for their contribution to the development of the state.
He attributed the peace being experienced in the area at present to the concerted efforts of his administration against insecurity as well as the cooperation from the people just as he also lauded the immense contributions of the traditional ruler of the area, Christopher Jatau towards ensuring peace in the state.
Governor Sule assured the Koro community of his administration’s commitment to better their lots in all areas of governance noted that the meeting was apt and promised them to look into their challenges and finding the way of solving them amicably.
Earlier, the Ohereashe of Kube chiefdom, Christopher Jatau, commended the Governor for honouring their invitation and assured the Governor for their total support to enable his administration succeed beyond 2023, just as he thanked him for appointing some illustrious sons of the community in the affairs of the government and appealed for more.
On his part, permanent member three, Nasarawa state Universal Basic Education Board and DG Architect Shehu Tukur campaign organization, Joseph Kaura, disclosed that Nasarawa state government through the University basic education board has constructed and renovated some primary schools in the community just as Haruna Shinkafa, chairman Koro community and Sir Daniel Aparshe among others, appealed to the governor to construct the palace of Kube chiefdom, road, job opportunity among others for the benefit of all.
