Nasarawa Governor Hails State Assembly For Effective Synergy As 2021 Appropriation Bill Signed Into Law

Gov. Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State on Wednesday signed into law N115.72 billion 2021 appropriation bill.

Sule while assenting to the 2021 appropriation bill into law in Lafia  appreciated Speaker and members of the state assembly for the synergy towards ensuring the state is better for it.

He said the increased in the size of the budget will help the state realise her common goal and meeting the focus on ensuring growth in the education, health, agriculture and infrastructure.

The governor  said that  the state government will be focused on achieving results despite the effects of COVID-19

The Governor apart from appreciating his Deputy, Doctor Emmanuel Akabe for holding forth while he was away, equally thanked traditional Rulers and the people of the state for their support to his administration.

He explained that his visit to the United State also recorded a plus for Nasarawa State in the area of equipping the disease infectious centre which will also culminate into training of some health personnel.

Also speaking,  Speaker of the State Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi appreciated the governor for the timely signing of the budget into law.

Balarabe Abdullahi lauded the heads of Government Ministries Departments and Parastatals( MDAs)  for helping the legislature carry out its task successfully.

The speaker has assured the governor of the House determination to synergize with the executive arm and other arm in order to bring speedy development to the state.

It would be recalled that on Nov. 17, 2020. Gov. Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State, has presented the 2021 budget proposal of N112. 92 billion to the state House of Assembly for consideration and approval.
