Karu Local Government Council Chairman Honourable Samuel Akala, has presented the budget proposal of N5.8 billion to for the year 2020 to the Legislative arm of the Council.
Presenting the proposal tagged ‘Budget of Next Level Development, Akala urged the legislature to expedite action towards speedy passage.
According to the Chairman, the proposed budget will consolidate on the gains recorded by his administration since inception.
The breakdown of the proposal, shows that a total of N2,500,175,945.76 has been earmarked for recurrent expenditure while the remaining balance will be for capital projects.
“Security, health, education and community development remains our top priority” Hon. Akala stated.
In his remarks, the Council leader assured that the legislature would do a thorough scrutiny of the draft in the interest of the people of the Local Government Area, promising a speedy passage.
