Nasarawa Lawmaker, Onarigu shares education stationary supplies worths N3.1m to pupils, students

Member representing Udege/Loko Constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Hon Onarigu Onah Kana, has distributed writing materials worth N3,1million to primary and secondary schools across the 8 wards of his constituency.
Hon Onarigu made the distribution during the flag off of the first phase of the exercise in Loko Development Area.
He said that the importance of education to human and societal development could not be overemphasized, hence the need of his gesture in that direction.
According to him, 355 schools across the 8 electoral wards of my constituency benefited from gesture.
“The items distributed included over 3000 exercise books, pencils, among others”
” Today, we are here for the flagging off of the distribution of writing materials to our pupils and students across schools in my constituency”
” as the importance of education to societal development could not be overemphasized”
” No society will achieve meaningful progress and development without sound education,” he said.
He urged the pupils and students to use the writing materials for the purpose they were meant for.
The lawmaker assured of his continous determination to key into positive projects and policies that would have direct bearing on the lives of the people of his constituency.
Onarigu also assured of empowerment of his people, quality and sound representation at the state legislature
He solicited for the support of his people to enable him, Speaker Balarabe Abdullahi and the Government of Nassarawa State succeed.
The lawmaker also urged his contituents to be law abiding, respect constituted authorities and to live in peace irrespective of their affiliations.
It would be reported that Hon Onarigu and his entourage paid a traditional homage on the traditional ruler of Loko for Royal blessings.
In another development, the member representing Udege/ Loko constituency at the Nassarawa State House of Assembly, has appealed to the state government to construct a bridge linking Loko, Tunga/Bakonu and Guto/Aisa wards of his constituency.
This, he said that the bridge, if constructed would improve on the standard of living and boost the socio-economic activities of the people of the area.
Hon Onarigu made the appeal when he, the traditional ruler of Loko and Overseer of the Area visited the bridge in Loko Development Area.
He said that the bridge is making its difficult for the people of the affected communities to transport their farm produce to the market.
” I want to use this medium to appeal to His Excellency, Gov. Abdullahi Sule to construct this bridge linking three wards of my constituency
“As my people are suffering as a result of the collapsed of the bridge which has affected and still affecting the standard of living and the socio-economic activities of my people negatively,” he said
Onarigu also said that the construction of the bridge would improve on the revenue base of the area considering the importance of the bridge to farming activities.
He urged the people of the affected communities to remain calm and be prayerful, expressing hope that the state government would come to their aid.
The lawmaker further assured of his readiness to lobby for projects to the constituency.
Also Speaking, the Sarkin Loko and Overseer Loko Development Area, appealed to the state government to construct the bridge for the benefit of the people of the area and its environs.
They said that the construction of the bridge would reduce the suffering the people of the area are going through as a result of the collapsed of the bridge.
The duo urged the people of the area to support Gov. Abdullahi Sule’s administration to succeed.
