Nasarawa Lawmakers resume sitting Tomorrow in New Remodeled Chamber, To Enable The Governor present 2022 Budget Proposal

To fast track development in the State, the members of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly would Thursday 9th December 2021 resume sitting at their Permanent site, the State Assembly complex, Shendam Road, Lafia.

The setting is to enable the lawmakers to receive the 2022 appropriation bill from Governor Abdullahi Sule, who is expected to lay the budget before the House.

A statement by Clerk of the House, Mr. Ego Maikeffi Abashe quotes the Speaker, Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi as calling on all members of the House to attend the sitting unfailingly beginning from Ten O’clock in the morning.

The statement added that the Governor is also expected to unveil the new remodeled hallowed chamber of the House before the Budget presentation.

Global Times Nigeria had earlier reported that the Assembly members have been holding a legislative function at the ministry for local government and chieftaincy affairs following the order of the State Governor, Alhaji Abdullahi Sule that the Assembly chamber should be remodeled and equipped with modern gadgets to meet the lawmaker’s needs while performing their official duties without fear or favor.

The Governor and the Speaker of the House, Rt. Honorable Ibrahim Abdullahi Balarabe has been up and doing all geared towards making sure the contractor handling the project hand over based on the agreed period to enable the lawmakers to resume duty.
