Nasarawa Parliamentary Union hails Gov. Sule, Speaker Balarabe for addressing their Plights, absorption of Assembly Casual Staff.
Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria (PASAN) Nassarawa State, has commended Gov. Abdullahi Sule for approving the absorption of over 100 casual staff of the State House of Assembly into permanent and pensionable appointments.
The Union also appreciated the Speaker of the state legislature, Rt. Hon Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi for touching the lives of the assembly workers positively and the passion he has for them and other workers in the State.
Comrade Suleiman Safiyanu Oshafu, the Chairman of the Union gave the commendation while speaking with newsmen during the Workers Day celebration today in Lafia.
He said absorption of the casual workers would not only improve on their welfare but would improve on the standard of living of their family members.
” And this will also promote peace and there will be optimal productivity among the staff” he said.
Oshafu attributed the high turn of workers to celebrate its day to Gov. Sule’s friendly workers policy.
” Today is a Workers Day and today is our most happiest Workers Day as His Excellency, Gov. Abdullahi Sule has approved the absorption of over 150 Casual Staff of the state Assembly.
” As some of them work for 15, 12, 10 years on casual basis and today we thank God that their efforts were not in vein and their patience pays as the difficult process for their engagements has been completed, we give Allah the glory and thank our leaders.
” I am also commending our Speaker, Rt. Hon Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi for his all inclusive leadership and for improve welfare of the State Assembly staff,” he said.
Oshafu assured of the workers readiness to reciprocate the Governor and Speaker gestures by being dedicated to their duties.
