…As his son, Shu’aibu graduates from qur’anic recitation school.
Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi on Saturday urged parents to give topmost priority to religion and western education of their children.
This, he said, was to enable them become responsible citizens, good future leaders and to serve as their lasting legacies for the overall development of the society.

The Speaker made the call at the Qur’anic graduation Walimah ( ceremony) of his son, Shu’aibu Ibrahim Balarabe and 28 other students at Madarasatus Sabilun Najah Islamiya, Gwagwalada, FCT Abuja.
He said that the importance of religion and western education to human and societal development could not be overemphsized, hence the need of his call in that direction.
The Speaker, who was represented by the Former Secretary, Gwagwalada Area Council, Alhaji Usman Yahaya added that Islamic education would inculcate moral values on the children and the society would be better for it.
He also urged parents to ensure proper upbringing of their children for societal development.
According to him, We must tell ourselves the truth education of what so ever is a heinous task on all of us and is not free, as teachers themselves need our support to impact effective education on our children.
The Speaker urged stakeholders to continue to contribute positively to the development of the education sector as well as the society in general.
Also speaking, Sheikh Aliyu Tamasi, Hon Justice of the Sharia Court of Appeal, Abuja while congratulating the graduands urged Muslims to live their lives according to the teaching of the Qur’an.
The First Wife of the Speaker, Hajiya Mariam Balarabe Abdullahi appreciated God for the successful graduation of their son, Shu’aibu.
” Today, we are happy and delighted that our son, Shu’aibu has successful graduated from Islamiya.
“We pray for his continue success in his eduation and other pursuit,” she said.
She also called on other parents to encourage their children to acquire Qur’anic education for the betterment of the society.
On her part, the Second Wife of the Speaker and Mother of Shu’aibu, Hajiya Fatimah Balarabe Abdullahi expressed appreciation to God Almighty for the successful graduation of her son.
” First, I want to thank God Almighty for seeing my son through and for his successful graduation.
” I want to congratulate my son and other students for their successful Qur’ anic graduation and I wish them well in their further education pursuits,” She said.
Hajiya Fatimah also appreciated the management and staff of the school for impacting Qur’anic education on her child and other children and prayed God to bless them abundantly.
She assured of her and her husband’s readiness to continue to prioritize the education of their children.
Besides, she called on the people of Umaisha/ Ugya constituency to support her husband third term ambition in order to enjoy more dividends of democracy.
The Speaker’s wife called on the people of the constituency and other Nigerians to continue to be law abiding, respect constituted authorities and live peacefully with one another.
In his opening remark, the Head Teacher of the School, Malam Sanusi Sani Qasim said that the school was established in 2011 and had over 200 students.
Sani Qasim urged parents to seek knowedge for their children in their interest and for the overall development of the society.
” If you want the betterment of this World, you should seek for knowledge, if you want the betterment of Hereafter, you should seek for knowledge and if you want the betterment of both world and Hereafter, you should seek for knowledge, ” he said.
In his vote of thanks, the Proprietor of the school, Malam Muhammad Tukur Zaria appreciated all those that assisted in one way or the other to ensure the development of the school.
Tukur Zaria, who is the Chief Imam, Gwagwalada Area Council prayed and wished all those that came from far and near to witness the graduation safe journey to their various destinations.
The proprietor, However, appealed for more assistance from all and sundry to enable them build more classrooms and other educational materials in the school.

It would be reported that others, who spoke congratulated Shu’aibu and other students while praying and wishing them well in all their future endeavours.
They also underscored the importance of religious and western education to societal development.
It would be also reported that the graduation ceremony had in attendance Sheikh Aliyu Tamasi, Hon Justice Sharia Court of Appeal, Sheikh Murtala Muhammad, Imam University of Abuja, politicians among others.
