Speaker of Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, has urged the 9 man Ad-hoc committee investigating sales of government properties in Lagos and other states by the then Administration of Umar Tanko Al-Makura to be fair and just in their investigation in the interest of the State.

The Speaker made the call while inaugurating the Ad-hoc committee today in Lafia.

He also urged the committee to discharge its duties without fear or favour.

” Today, the Majority Leader of the House, Hon Mohammed Omadefu, brought an issue on the sales of government properties in Lagos an other states

” Honourable members deliberated on the issue and have agreed for the constitution of this Ad-hoc committee, hence the need for your inauguration.

” Please you should be just and fair in your action as what we want is Justice, ” he said.

Abdullahi expressed hope of positive findings at the end of the day.

” The people are monitoring us and our activities.

” I have hope that at the end of the investigation, something positive will come out,” he said

The Speaker also urged the committee to discharge its duties without fear or favour

Responding, Hon Larry Ven Bawa, the Chairman of the Ad-hoc committee assured the Speaker of their commitment not to fail in their duties.

” By God’s grace, we will not fail in our duties,” he said.

He also assured that the committee would discharge its duties without fear or favour.
