The passing of a mother to a serving member of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Hon. Mohammed Okpoku has been described as a huge lost to the family and entire Udege/Kasa community.
The Speaker, Nasarawa State House Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi in his condolence message identified with member representing Udege Loko at the state assembly Hon. Muhammed Okpoku over the demise of his mother Princess Obonu Ariko.
The Speaker was accompanied by some members, managements and staff of the house in Udege- Kasa, Nasarawa Local Government Area of the state and identified with Hon Okpoku and his family over the death of their mother Mama Obonu Ariko.
Hon Okpoku led Udege delegation to Gov. Sule, appreciate him for developing, Securing the community.
Speaker Balarabe Abdullahi consoled the family and urged them to accept her death in good faith and continued to pray for her to receive eternal rest.
Similarly, the Clerk NSHA Ego Maikeffi Abashe also today Sunday led management and some staff of the house to Udege-Kasa to sympathized with the lawmaker Hon Opkpoku over the demise of his mother praying God to comfort the family and grant Mama eternal rest.
Responding on behalf of the family,elder brother of the lawmaker Aminu Adokpa thanked the assembly leadership for identifying with the family at the trial time praying God to reward them abundantly just as he wish them journey mercies to their various destinations.

Recalled that the people of Udege-Kasa and its environs were thrown into mournful mood last Wednesday 25th August, 2021 following the shock news of the death of their Magajiya Princess Obonu Ariko who is the mother of Hon. Muhammed Okpoku.
Late princess Obonu Ariko died at the age of 93 as a result of protracted illness.
