Nasarawa Speaker observes Jummat in Umaisha Ahead of Saturday Wedding Solemnization,  Cleric Preaches Unity, Peace

An Islamic Cleric in Nasarawa State, Mallam Mahmud Ibrahim has called for peace, unity and good neighborliness among people.

Mallam Ibrahim, who is the Chief Imam of JIBWIS Jummat mosque Umaisha, Toto LG gave the task during Friday sermon in Umaisha, Toto Local Government Area of the state.

The Islamic cleric also called on people to always respect, support and pray for their leaders at all levels for God’s guidance and direction at all times and to enable them succeed.

He emphasized the need for people to be their brother’s keepers, good neighborliness, which he said are virtues of prophet Muhammad peace be upon him, and encouraged believers to cultivate the habit of assisting one another.

The Friday congregational prayers had in attendance Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Alh. Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi.

In another development, the Speaker, Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi joined his Paramount ruler, the Ohimege Opanda, HRH, Alhaji Usman Abdullahi to witness the wedding fatiha of Abubakar Ibrahim and Hauwa Isa.

The wedding took place at Ohimege’s palace in Umaisha as the two were joined as husband and wife after the payment of N100,000 as dowry.
