Nasarawa Speaker Says Assembly Under His Leadership Will Up To its Responsibilities

The Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi has says that the House would not fail the people of the state in discharging its duties.

Balarabe Abdullahi gave the assurance while speaking with journalists in his home town Umaisha, Toto Local Government Area of the State.

The state number three citizen said that members of the House will continue to remain focus and committed to their duties in order to bring development to the door steps of their constituents.

Balarabe Abdullahi ( APC- Umaisha/Ugya) while congratulating Muslims on their successful Ramadan fast, urged them and other Nigerians to continue to pray for God’s intervention in overcoming the security challenges  facing the nation.

” First, I want to commend members of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly for their foresight and  commitments toward ensuring the progress and development of the state.

” Honestly, when this Assembly came into existence, I call on all of my colleagues that we should commit ourselves in sponsoring bills that will have direct impacts on the lives of our people.

” And to the glory of God, we are into the second year of our tenure  and the successes so far recorded by this present Assembly is overwhelming and I urge  them ( members)  to continue to sustain that spirit.

” I thank them for the confidence they have in my leadership and by God’s grace,  I will not fail them.

” I will continue to carry them along by ensuring that we continue to work as a team, work together in order to take the state to the next level of development, ” he said.

Balarabe Abdullahi called on Muslims and other Nigerians to pray for the unity, peace, progress and development of the country.

” It is time for prayers. We should not be divided politically at this time. We should close ranks , come  together for the unity and peaceful co-existence of this country,” he said

” Let’s us also continue to pray for President Muhammadu Buhari, Gov Abdullahi Sule’s administrations and all other leaders to succeed,” he added

He has advised those taking advantage of the present challenges facing the country to avoid unguarded utterances and actions that would further divide the people along political, religious and ethnic lines.

” This is not time for that, it is time for us to come together for the unity and progress as well as the peaceful co-existence in the country,” the speaker said.
