Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly Alh Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi today stood in for Emir of Lafia justice Sidi Bage Muhammad (Retired) as a father and received wife to Prince Ibrahim Abdullahi Hassan the Adon Garin Lafia and Asma’u Muhammed Jamil (Husnah).

The wedding fatiha took place at the Palace of Emir of Azara Dr. Kabiru Musa Ibrahim in Azara, Awe LGA of the State today.

The Speaker of the State Assembly Alh Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi who represented the interest of the groom, the Emir of Lafia Justice Sidi Bage Muhammad (Retired) pronounced One Hundred Thousand Naira (100,000) as dowry and the Emir of Azara Dr Kabiru Musa Ibrahim represented the interest of the bride.

The Speaker of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly Alh Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi emphasized the significance of the marriage institution to build a peaceful home and an egalitarian society for peace, unity and development.

Asma’u is now the third wife of Adon Garin Lafia Prince Ibrahim Abdullahi Hassan.

Also at the Azara Emir’s Palace two other weddings were also observed which is that between Aminu and Hajara as well as Shuaibu and Aishatu respectively.
