The National Youth body has also debunked in totality rumour making round especially in the social media that the Speaker is the brain behind the removal of an Egbura son and former Deputy Vice Chancellor DVC Administration Nasarawa State University, Keffi Professor Salaam.

Leader of the group Prince Hamisu Omaki stated this in Lafia Monday shortly after the group paid a courtesy visit to the Speaker Balarabe Abdullahi and Hon.Usman Labaran Shafa member representing Toto/Gadabuke at the state assembly.

He said the group is non political and non religion but purely neutral Egbura Youth movement advocating for peace, unity and development of Egbura nation hence the need for their outing to associate with Egbura traditional, political and other leaders across the country.

Aside that,he emphasized that the group is also carrying out thorough research on performance of their leaders and areas that needs intervention among their people and sick for ways to address them.

“We have carried out our independent research and came to known that since the existence of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly 22 years ago with its basic responsibility making laws for peace and good governance in the state and effective oversights the house has had 4 Speakers in the last 22 years with 6th assembly sessions.

“Late Hon.Musa Ateru Agyo 1st assembly passed 33 bills into law, 2nd assembly under Hon Mohammed Ogoshi Onawo passed 20 bills into law, 3rd assembly of Hon Musa Ahmed Muhammed passed 31 bills into law and still 4th assembly and 2nd tenure of Hon Musa Ahmed Muhammed passed 45 bills into law and the 5th assembly of our own Hon Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi passed 48 bills into law which has already break the records of the previous assemblies in the state.

“And as we speak in this his second tenure of 6th assembly as at December 2020 he has already passed 40 bills into law and looking at this facts by the grace of God before the end of his tenure in 2023 the 6th assembly for sure will have the highest number of bills passed ,we are indeed proud of him as our son.

“We also have it in record that the Balarabe led 5th and 6th assembly in the state is the most peaceful with effective synergy with other arms of government especially the executive just as the present assembly is adjudged to have preformed best in terms of oversight functions.

“These are part of our findings and we gave him kudos for that and urged him to keep the flag flying while calling on our people to give him the maximum support to build on the solid foundation he has put in place so far.

The group also identified some basic areas that they want the Speaker to look into and address both personally and those that he should influence through the state government.

On the issue of the change of leadership in Nasarawa State University Keffi, the group said it has carried out its investigation and got the fact that Professor Salaam, the Deputy Vice Chancellor Administration has completed his mandatory 2 years tenure before the VC appointed a new person to the position not that he was sack and the development has nothing to do with the Speaker .
