National Honours: Nasarawa Speaker lauds President Buhari for awarding prominent citizens.
President Muhammed Buhari has been commended for rewarding prominent citizens with most deserving National honours following their sacrifices, dedication and hard work in all ramifications.
In a lead of appreciation, Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, has commended President Muhammadu Buhari for awarding national honours to prominent citizens of the state, who have contributed immensely to the development of the country.
The Speaker while congratulating the awardees, expressed hope that the honours done to them was a welcome development, heartwarming and honour to the entire state.
He urged them to justify the confidence reposed in them by President Buhari by continue to contribute their quota positively to the development of the state and the country at large.
“On behalf of myself, principal officers and staff of the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, I want to join our Nasarawa State citizens to rejoice with our personalities, whom have been conferred with national awards/ honours by His Excellency, President Muhammadu Buhari.
“Our hope is that the honours given to them will spur them to do more by contributing positively to the development of the State and the nation ,” he said.
Abdullahi said that the awards are well deserved considering their positive contributions to the development of Nasarawa State and the country at large.
“The honours done to them by Mr President were not only for the personalities but a great honour to rhe people of Nasarawa State,” he added
The Speaker urged the people of the state to support President Buhari and Gov. Abdullahi Sule to succeed.
It would be reported that those honoured and conferred are former IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adamu with CFR, Emir of Lafia, HRH Rtd Justice Sidi Bage Mohammed with CFR, Emir Of Keffi, Dr Shehu Chindo Yamusa with CON, Emir Of Nasarawa, Alhaji Ibrahim Usman Jibrin with CON and the CG of NSCDC, Dr Ahmed Abubakar AUDI with OFR.
Others are Businessman Anthony Ngude Zaki Sani with OON, Ex- ambassador Musa Ilu Mohammed with OON, the father of Governor Abdullahi Sule the Sarkin Gudi, Alhaji Sule Bawa with MFR, COREAN President, Ali Rabiu with MFR, Traditional Ruler Martin Kure Abeshi with MFR, Rtd Teacher Mallam Ibrahim Okposhi with MON and Rtd Public Servant Alhaji Shehu Othman.
