NEAPS Award; Former Kogi Governor, Ibrahim Idris Congratulates Rivers Governor, Nyesom Wike.
By ABUBAKAR YUSUF.: The former governor of Kogi state, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris (CON) has felicitated with the Rivers State Governor, Nzenwo Nyesom Wike on the public service award conferred on him by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Alhaji Ibrahim Idris in a statement personally released in Abuja said the recognition on Wike’s giant strides in all areas of development, no doubt worth it, stating that the evidence is there for everyone to see.
He said Wike had laid a solid foundation for the continuous development of Rivers State, saying no subsequent administration will renege on the standard and tempo of development laid by the governor.
“He has turned around and maintained a higher pace of development in Rivers State in the last seven years without consideration to political affiliations, colorations or differences.”
He commended him for his unequalled developmental strides in Rivers State, not minding the tense and economic situations in the country.
He described Governor Wike as a nationalist, saying the award will spur him to do more not only for Rivers State, but Nigeria at large.
The former Kogi Governor said the President, Muhammadu Buhari courage to adopt apolitical stance in the maiden award was unique and exemplary. He said.
