On Monday, the newly elected Toto local government council Executive Chairman, Hon. Abdullahi Aliyu Tashas has officially resumed office following his inauguration in Lafia, Nasarawa State capital by Alhaji Abdullahi A. Sule, Governor of Nasarawa State.
Hon. Abdullahi Aliyu Tashas fondly called Aquatic won his election alongside other Chairmen in the State under peaceful atmosphere with no reported cases of crisis while political pundits across the State described the recent poll as most peaceful and transparent in history of the state.

The new Toto LG Chairman in his addressed tasked the newly inaugurated council officials to intensified efforts towards promoting peace, unity and ensuring dividends for their various wards.
He said their new leadership will focus on peace, sustained onslaught against insecurity, agriculture, education, empowerment and will provide governance that will have direct bearing to the people.
He appreciated the people of Toto LG for giving them the mandate and assured them of their administration commitment to serve them better with fear of God.
He sought for their support and cooperation in order to deliver on the mandate. He said governance is about the people and there is no way any government will succeed without involving the people.
On his part, the immcouncil past Commissioner in the State, Pharmacist Ahmed Baba Yahaya while congratulating the new council Officials asked them them to works closely with their people, saying such collaboration with give them more opportunity run an open door policy.
He said the leadership of All Progressives Congress, APC, is looking forward to see progression on the part of new council officials.
He commended the peoples of the area for their support which has kept the party waxing stronger.

The councilors took oath of office and pledged to serve diligently in pursuing an agenda that will sanitize the system and bring more development in the area.
The event had in attendance, leaders of the ruling party, former council officials, state representatives, women, youth and elders group from 12 electoral wards.
