As Nigerians and rest of the world prepare towards a new year 2023, the Grand Patron Shuaibu Abubakar Audu Foundation, SAAF, Alhaji Prince Shuaibu Abubakar Audu, has called on Nigerians irrespective of religion and tribal differences to ensure they land into the new year with a clean mindset devoid of hatred, envy and other vices so that their thoughts and aims will be achieved by the grace of God.
Shuaibu Audu a seasoned banker with about 20 years working experience said the call became imperative owing to some Nigerians’ negative thoughts about the country despite efforts by successive administrations to ensure things are working well for the citizens.
A frontline philanthropist and son to former governor of Kogi State, Prince Abubakar Audu of blessed memory, said year 2023 “will favour the country and it’s people more than previous years, in view of legacy projects of President Muhammadu Buhari led administration.
He stated this in a New Year message to Nigerians, which was made available to Global Times Nigeria on Sunday, 1st January, 2023.
Audu noted that no nation grows with the citizenry being negative about the progress, hence the call to sacrifice and change of attitudes from negative to positive for the nation to thrive faster.
He said Nigerians should thrive hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel over the nation’s politics, economy, unity and development.
“Nigerians must be grateful to God for His goodness in 2022, as well as pray that the new year will be far better than the previous years .”
On 2023 general election, Shuaibu Audu assured Kogi people and Nigerians that All Progressives Congress, APC, remains the platform to entrust their mandate in order to consolidate on already achieved gains.
He specifically pointed out that the choice of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kashim Shettima as the Presidential Candidate and running mate is the best option for now to ensure one Nigeria, prosperous nation and above all secure the country against bad elements.
While congratulating Nigerians on the new year, he urged them to keep faith with the ruling government as they have enjoyed unbridled peace and security over the years.
The seasoned banker cum philanthropist then wished the people of Kogi state and Nigerians in general, a prosperous New Year.
