Niger Delta Council of Chiefs Congratulates Sen. Akpabio on his emergence as Senate President

….Lauds President Tinubu, National Assembly members and Nigerians over emergence of their Grand Patron

The entire leadership and Executive members of the Niger Delta Council of chiefs has expressed its congratulatory message to the President of the 10th Senate Federal Republic Of Nigeria, Dr. Godswill Obot Akpabio, CON.

This was contained in a statement jointly singed and issued on 15th July 2023 by it’s National Chairman Olorogun Mathias-Efe Olowu and National Secretary Obong (Sir) Unyime Ekwere KSJI said the felicitation message was on behalf it’s members across the six Niger Delta States which includes, Delta, Edo, Bayelsa, Cross River and Akwa Ibom respectively.

According to the Statement, the undersigned Niger Delta council of Chiefs mobilised massively support and created awareness amongst Nigerians towards actualizing your presidential ambition even though it didn’t materialised but however remained the selling point to all Nigerians considering your antecedent and records of performance when you served as Governor of your dear State and held several positions.

“We strongly believed and trust in God that your attempt to office of the President was an assignment of great magnitude which prepared you for another great task of serving Nigerians in another bigger opportunity.”

While felicitating with the brand new President of the Senate on his meritorious electoral victory and his emergence as Chairman of the 10th National Assembly, the group recalled that the Niger Delta Council of chiefs had on 26th April, 2023 held a press conference in Abuja as part of efforts to boost your ambition and their council Grand Patron they deem it fit to declared total support for your ambition.

The statement further stated that some of their activities were aired by some Media houses and published by some National Dailies Newspapers and Online outlets.

The group assured Nigerians that the new President of the Senate will lead Nigeria to the path of prosperity having served as Executive Governor, Distinguished Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria where he equally served as Minority leader of the Senate, Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, saying that he will strengthen the present administration for the good of all Nigerians.

“We the undersigned Executive members of the Niger Delta Council of Chiefs wishes to express our deepest appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCON, Vice President Kashim Shettima, members of the National Assembly, stakeholders and other Nigerians who stood by us at ensuring his success at the poll.”.

“Your Excellency as you ascend this podium we pledged our unalloyed support of the entire group across the six (6) states of the Niger Delta to this present administration.”

The group also prayed for the success of his administration and assured of their continued support.
