The chairmanship candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for Tafa local government council of Niger state, Hon Danladi T. Iyah, has expressed confidence that he will emerge victorious at the local election in the area.

Iyah, spoke with newsmen shortly after he casted his vote at his Azhi- Bisa polling unit 002 primary school of Dogon-Kurmi ward of the local the government of the state on Thursday.

He said with the massive grassroots support he has been receiving from the youth and women group in the area, he will emerged winner at the end of the chairmanship election.

According to him, his massive support across the local government has him at edge ahead of three other opposition chairmanship candidates in the area.

He, however, said that he was impressive with the massive turn out of voters that came out enmass to defied the scorch of the sun to cast their votes.

Iyah, also commended the voters especially the youth for conducting themselves peacefully without any rancor, while commending the INEC and security agents for ensuring the peaceful exercise.

Our correspondent, who went other polling unit in the area, observed massive turn of voters, as INEC presiding officers accredited voters before they were issued ballot papers to cast their votes.
