The Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development in conjunction with Nasarawa State Government through the office of the Senior Special Assistant, SSA, on Humanitarian Services and Focal Person, Hon Imran Usman Jibrin on Thursday flagged-off the training and onboarding exercise for 115 Batch B Independent Monitors of the National Social Investment Programme (NSIP).

Addressing the press shortly after the program, the state Focal Person who doubles as SSA on Humanitarian Services to Nasarawa State Government, Hon Imran Usman Jibrin said the engaged Independent Monitors will be responsible for monitoring the programme in their various local and communities, schools, households, and markets.

According to him, Independent Monitors will focus to ensure that the primary objectives of the NSIPs are achieved.

He charged them to judiciously used the gadgets for the purpose intended and be good ambassador of the State.

Global Times Nigeria report that the flagged off was organised by the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development. The event held at the Conference Hall of the Nasarawa State Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Lafia.
