NSSIP Commences Enumeration, Data Capturing Exercise For 3,800 Beneficiaries Ahead Of Official Flag-off In Lafia.

Determined to fight poverty and create enabling environment for all creed in the country, a total of 3,800 persons are expected to benefit from the Federal Government’s National Social Investment Programme by disbursing cash grant to vulnerable and poor rural people across the Nasarawa State.
The Nasarawa State Social Investment Programme office under the State Focal Person/ SSA Humanitarian Services Hon Imran Usman Jibrin has commenced the enumeration and data capturing exercise for the 3800 beneficiaries under the State Conditional Cash Transfer Programme.

The programme involves the payment of N5000 monthly stipends to the beneficiaries across the 1495 pulling units in the 13 LGAs of the state.
According to the Focal Person, the exercise commenced on 9th March 2021 in Lafia LGA Headquarters. The screening for the Southern Zone was completed yesterday in Doma and Obi LGAs, although there will be a mop up exercise in some of the LGAs.
Mr. Jibrin said the Cash Transfer Programme will be flagged off on Tuesday 23rd March 2021 by the Hon Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, Hajiya Sadiya Umar Faruk as the Special Guest of Honour.

The Governor Aide explained further that the slated programme is to compliment the efforts of the Federal Government under the able leadership of President Muhammadu Bahuri towards uplifting 100 million Nigerians out of poverty, through the National Social Investment Programme.
