Alhaji Shaib Abubakar Audu is one of former Governor sons that have taken up responsibility to identify with the people of the state just as his father, the former Governor, Alhaji Prince Abubakar Audu was known for throughout his life time.
The people of Odolu kingdom in Kabba Bunu LGA on Tuesday troupe out enmass to received the son of former Governor of Kogi State, a philanthropist and Banker, Alhaji Shuaib Abubakar Audu for giving them hope after age-long tears of their people suffering from lack of portable water supply.
Speaking during the commissioning of a Motorized borehole initiated by Alhaji Shuaib Abubakar Audu Foundation, one of the spiritual leaders of Odolu Kingdom, Mr. Ben J. A Osho, spoke on behalf of the people who are beneficiary said they cannot thank the son of former Governor enough for what he has done for their domain. That “he who brings water brings life”.
According to him the gigantic borehole will supply water to the nooks and crannies of their community and thanked the Grand patron of the foundation for considering them in his transformation agenda across the State.
“Since one good turn deserves another, the community is ready to give you unalloyed and undiluted support not only to achieve your aspiration but rise beyond the sky in all your heart desires”.
“Surely, you’re a youth with a different and i have no doubt in my mind that if you are given a leadership role at a national or state level, you would perform creditably”.
The elder who went through memory lane, said Shauib late father, former Governor of Kogi State, Prince Abubakar Audu in his last campaign to Kabba declared publicly that regarded Kabba as his second home because of their hands of fellowship stretched to him always.
“On behalf of my people in this community, I wish to declare and recognise you as our son of the soil and our worthy Ambassador in Diaspora”.
He then pray God to grant Alhaji Shuaib Abubakar Audu long live, strength, sound health, prerequisite wisdom to enable him achieved all he has plan for his people.
Also speaking, the coordinator of the Alhaji Shuaib Abubakar Audu Foundation (SAAF), Prince Idoko Ogacheko said the foundation is own by one of Prince Abubakar Audu Sons, Alhaji Shuaib who live and work in Lagos as a Banker with about 20 years banking experience asked them as a foundation to go on a research and identify some community with problem of water supply and this particular community happened to be among.
According to him, the projects are scatter across the three (3) Senatorial districts of the State, assuring the residents that more are on the way coming.
He thanked the donor, financier and Grand Patron of the foundation, Alhaji Shuaib Abubakar Audu, who has come here to commission the project.
On his part, the Grand Patron of the Shuaib Abubakar Audu Foundation (SAAF), Alhaji Shuaib Abubakar Audu, thanked the people of Odolu for giving him a chance to contribute to general welfare of the people of Odolu Kingdom. He said he asked his foundation to go round the three (3) Senatorial Districts to identify communities that are suffering from accessing drinking water and particularly their women trekking several kilometers to go and fetch water, Which he said this community in Kabba Bunu LG was picked.
According to him, he doesn’t make promised and failed adding that he talk and do just like his late father, Prince Abubakar Audu, former Governor of Kogi State.
He also said the materials used for the project is of high quality standard and assured them of its durable and long lasting
